My Story
In high school, my parents spent over $10,000 on a strength coach for me. One game into my senior season, I was benched.
Best investment they ever made.
It didn’t pay off on the field, and that gutted me. Football was my entire identity. But I met the mentor that changed the trajectory of my life (shout out Mike!) and learned lessons that became the backbone of everything I’ve built since.
It also ignited something unexpected: a deep obsession with what the human body can do when you actually take care of it.
In college, one idea consumed me. Everyone knows exercise changes how you look, but it also changes how you feel, think, and age. Food works the same way. And most people either don’t know this or don’t know how to act on it.
So I went to physical therapy school at Duke. Three years learning from some of the best clinicians in the world (and meeting the love of my life, to boot)!
Halfway through, a frustration hit me that I couldn’t shake. Two hours a week with someone is not enough to change their life. People needed more support than any in-person setup could give them.
My solution: online coaching. Instead of 2-3 sessions a week, I touch every part of a client’s week. I provide expert exercise programming and nutrition coaching. But honestly, ChatGPT can do that now.
So why do people hire me?
Because health isn’t an information problem. Every generation faces its own information revolution. Books, the internet, now AI. None of it solved the problem.
Getting and staying healthy is rooted in behavior, identity, and accountability. That’s the actual work, and once you crack the code, the reward is glorious.
